Take three long-time friends who all have:

• A passion for camping 
• Had sleeping issues, with mattresses being the root cause
• An appreciation of a social ice-cold beverage and barbeque in the great outdoors
• Experience in independent bed retailing, social care and logistics, or financial services.

Add a pinch of disappointment of finding replacement caravan and motorhome mattresses either too poor a quality or too expensive.

Mix everything together on a sunny afternoon and along comes a genius idea of creating great quality made-to-measure mattresses that are value for money. And so, the concept of Your Custom Mattress was born.

Kevin successfully ran an independent retail business selling beds and carpets for over 30 years. Lorne (the hero of the pandemic) has supplied and delivered hot and frozen dinners to the vulnerable and elderly for over 10 years. And Steve has been in financial services for over 30 years has turned web designer.

After that afternoon, we were all left pretty sleepless (half mattress/half excitement) and, from then on, the enthusiasm and ideas just grew and grew.

At the outset, we all agreed on three things:

• Do it properly or not at all
• Focus on quality, comfort, and customer value
• Have fun doing it

And we’re having a blast. We have spent a year developing and testing our range of mattresses and we are pretty damn proud of what we have produced.

We do not have the might of Dragons and big name endorsers like Richard Branson (all very nice people by the way), nor do we have huge teams creating slick marketing, but we do have the passion to make sure we deliver the perfect product for you and a customer service that is second to none.

Our business is growing fast, but not too fast and we would love for you to join in and be part our story.
