Help me template or measure my mattress
Ordering your made-to-measure custom mattress couldn’t be easier.
Using the mattress builder, choose your shape, or, if you cannot see your shape, choose Custom Shape.
Choose from five specially designed high-quality mattresses and select the appropriate size based on the maximum width and length of your mattress.
Provide us with the dimensions, or request our free, easy-to-use, templating kit and return it in the prepaid envelope. For more information, please see our video demonstrating this, or give us a call and we will be happy to help.
The moment we receive your dimensions or template, we will get to work on making your perfect mattress. At present, we are aiming to deliver to you within 15 working days from confirmation of your order.
- Place the paper on the floor with the label facing up.
- Place the mattress on the paper with the topside facing up.
- Using the pencil provided, draw around your mattress, keeping the pencil upright and ensuring it does not move. (If any of the sides are cut at an angle, please watch our video instructions)
- If you have a bolster, draw around this too, and write the word “TOP” on the paper (see video)
- With a pair of scissors, carefully cut out your template for your mattress (and bolster if you have one)
- Review and complete the checklist that is attached to your template paper.
- Place the template on top of the mattress to make sure it accurately reflects the size of your mattress.
- Fold the paper, place it in the prepaid envelope, and return it to us.

Sometimes, the side or end of your mattress is cut to fit around radiators or cabling. Our video shows this example and how you should record this on your template.
Our mattresses are handmade, and we, therefore, need to work within a manufacturing tolerance of 2cm. If your mattress has fixed points side to side and/or lengthways. Please be sure to note the dimensions between the fixed points in the comments box on your template label. We will then take extra care not to exceed these dimensions.
Help me choose a mattress
To help you choose your perfect mattress, place the following in priority order and take a look at the description for each.
- Weight: If you are concerned about your payload, try our Memory Foam Mattress. It’s the lightest one in our range but remains very supportive. If this is not an issue, our Custom Hybrid Pocket is the heaviest, but it is packed with features that will give you a sumptuous night’s sleep.
- Profile (depth): Fixed beds sometimes sit above the garage at the rear. A high garage could mean limited headroom. Our Memory Foam Mattress has our lowest profile at 14cm but does not compromise on comfort. The rest of our range is either 18cm or 21cm, so if you can cope with the extra depth, take a look at our other options.
- Budget: Our Memory Foam Mattress is the lightest, lowest profile, and most affordable mattress in our range. Remember, being cheapest doesn’t mean bad – it is super comfy and a great option if your budget is a concern. However, if you want to elevate your sleep experience to really make it feel like home, try our Custom Gel Foam (Medium-Firm), Custom Latex mattress (firm), or Custom Hybrid Pocket Sprung (medium)
- Comfort: Our Custom Memory Foam mattress is our entry-level mattress. It’s like a replacement motorhome mattress, but better. However, if you want to take your sleep experience to the next level, our Custom Hybrid Pocket Sprung mattress is the ultimate in comfort. Our rating for this superbly supportive mattress is medium. With 2000 independent nano pocket springs, memory foam, and gel foam layers, what’s not to like? If you’re after something firmer, try our Custom Latex Mattress. It is firm but very supportive. Perfect for those with back issues or a fuller- figure. Latex is an incredibly durable natural product with an open-cell structure allowing air to move freely within the mattress. This breathability helps keep the sleeping surface cool, enhancing comfort on those warm nights.If you’re after something in between, the Custom Gel Foam is also a super supportive medium-firm mattress. Gel foam has cooling properties that can absorb the heat from your body, giving you a comfortable night’s sleep.
Following extensive research and development, we found that the optimum mattress thickness for touring caravans is around 18cm. We consider this to be thinner and lighter than traditional domestic mattresses without sacrificing comfort.
For those requiring a different depth, our memory foam mattress is slimmer at 14cm deep and we have a 21cm deep variant of our superior Hybrid Nano Pocket Sprung mattress.

Our custom caravan mattresses look the same as domestic mattresses with slight variations. They are designed in such a way that they are thinner and lighter than high-quality domestic mattresses, without any compromise on the level of comfort.

There’s a lot to be said about the old adage of you get what you pay for. We are sure that if you search online, you will find cheaper mattresses. However, they are likely to be made with low-quality fabrics and inner components that will leave you hot, bothered, and uncomfortable.

The Sleep Foundation describes it best. “Latex is a natural material that is manufactured from the sap of rubber trees. It’s used in a variety of manufacturing applications, including modern mattresses. Latex mattresses are prized for their durability, superior cooling, and excellent pressure relief.
Latex is considered to be more sustainable than alternatives such as memory foam. It is naturally derived from a sustainable source, and it’s more durable than alternatives, offering a lower environmental cost in the long run.”
Your Custom Mattresses are packed full of high-quality components and as such are a little heavier than standard (less comfortable) caravan mattresses. Given the many variations of size and shape of mattresses, it is impossible to give you the exact weight difference you will see. However, generally speaking, the weight could be anywhere between 2-8kg heavier. To put that into 2-litre bottles of pop terms, it is between 1 and 4 bottles of pop.

Help me choose a topper
Prioritise the following to what is important to you
- Comfort: If comfort is your primary objective, take a look at our innovative dual-layer toppers. They will give you the ultimate sleep experience with a 2.5cm firmer base layer to iron out any lumps and bumps, topped with a sumptuous 2.5cm memory foam to conform to your body’s natural contours. These come with a removable, washable cover in a choice of grey or white.
- Budget: Take a look at our 2.5cm toppers. They offer great value for money and come with a removable, washable cover in a choice of grey or white.
- Space: Our 5cm dual-layer is the ultimate in comfort. If you are concerned about storage, consider placing two singles side by side. This will give you better storage options during the day or when traveling. Alternatively, our 2.5cm topper will roll up much tighter, giving you that all-important extra space
Help me care for my new mattress
- We recommend that you open your vacuum-packed mattresses within six weeks of purchase. This will allow the mattress to expand to its full size.
- Use a mattress protector to help prolong the life of your bed. It will minimize wear and tear, guard against marks and stains, and help maintain the new mattress’s appearance. Alternatively, use an under-blanket, which will help prevent the dyes used in some bed linen from transferring onto the mattress, which can happen as a reaction to body moisture.
- Regular airing of the mattress will reduce moisture build-up. When not in use, we recommend removing your mattress and storing it in a warm, dry place. If this is not possible, we recommend moving the mattress away from the walls of your vehicle to allow air to circulate and placing moisture-absorbing crystals around the mattress. Remember to replace your crystals frequently to help prevent unwanted mould on your mattress. Please carefully follow these recommendations, as your Warranty does not cover mould build-up.
- Avoid soiling or staining the product, as these are deemed health & safety hazards and will invalidate your Warranty.
- Do not use chemicals or detergent cleaners, as these may adversely affect the fabric covering, stitching, and some of the filling materials used. In the case of soiling, the mattress may be lightly sponged with a weak soap and water solution. Excessive wetting will damage the product.
- If you store the mattress for any period, please make sure it is stored flat and not on its side, as this will distort the spring unit and cause the fillings to settle unevenly and, drastically shorten the life of your mattress.
- Do not use electric blankets in conjunction with any mattresses containing foam, as this may affect the chemical composition of the foam.
- Any defacement or removal of product labeling will invalidate the Warranty.
- Do not jump or stand on any part of your bed. Do not allow children to bounce on the bed like a trampoline.
- Avoid placing heavy or bulky objects on the mattress, as this can cause permanent damage to your mattress.
